Request Deletion of Your Data

At Bedside, we respect your right to control your personal data. If you would like to request the deletion of your personal data from our systems, you can do so using the methods outlined below.

Please note that as a healthcare technology platform, some data may need to be retained for legal compliance, regulatory requirements, or patient safety reasons as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

How to Request Data Deletion

Email Request

Send an email to our Privacy Officer with your deletion request:

Please include your email address and any other identifying information to help us locate your data.

What Information to Include

To process your deletion request efficiently, please provide:

  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your account
  • Hospital or healthcare facility affiliation (if applicable)
  • Approximate dates of service usage
  • Specific types of data you want deleted (if not all data)

Processing Timeline

  • Email Requests: We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request
  • Complex Cases: Healthcare-related data may require additional processing time due to regulatory requirements

Data That May Be Retained

Some data may need to be retained for legal, regulatory, or safety reasons:

  • Healthcare records required by Singapore healthcare regulations (typically 7 years)
  • Data needed for ongoing legal proceedings or investigations
  • Aggregated, anonymized data used for research or analytics
  • Information required for audit or compliance purposes
  • Data necessary to prevent fraud or security incidents

We will inform you if any data cannot be deleted and explain the legal basis for retention.

Verification Process

To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we may need to verify your identity before processing the request. This may involve:

  • Confirming your identity through additional information
  • Requesting professional credentials for healthcare-related accounts

After Deletion

Once your data is deleted:

  • You will receive confirmation of the deletion
  • Your account access will be terminated
  • You will no longer receive communications from Bedside
  • Any ongoing services will be discontinued
  • You can create a new account in the future if desired
